The wicked take lightly their sins,
They do not confess them to the Lord.
They heap up transgression,
They presume they will escape in the end.
The Lord scoffs at the scoffer.
He shows Himself shrewd to the devious.
Because they did not heed the council,
They will eat the fruit of their own ways.
They come calling out to the righteous,
“Save, Save!”
And the righteous pities them.
The wicked think only of their pleasure,
They do not take to mind the future.
They borrow and do not pay back,
But the righteous gives generously.
Their minds are twisted and corrupt,
They twist together the cords of folly;
They are bound by their own transgression.
They fall into the pit they have dug.
Their lamp is wickedness,
Their way is utter darkness.
They walk and they do not see,
Their folly has blinded them.
Their hearts are deceitful,
They comfort themselves in their heart,
Concerning their sins and the hatred thereof.
They are beaten with the rod of their own iniquity,
They blame God for the curse.
They are silent when they hear the light,
Yet they do not perceive it.
Righteousness is a foreign thing to them;
They do not know how to respond.
I wept and I cried before the LORD, my God;
It was well past due, but I said, “I will confess my sins before You.”
And You forgave the iniquity of my heart and brought me to Your Son;
In joy, I pray to you, in happiness, I exalt the name of my God.
My heart was like an unruly animal before You;
And I could not tame it, I could not quiet my own thoughts;
But I said, “I will go back to what I first believed.”
And then I said, “These wicked men which seek my life, I will forget their words.“
There were You, Oh my God, right where You first found me.
I repented, for You made my heart upright before You.
You turned my heart back toward You, and opened my eyes to Your grace.
You gave me new revelation concerning Your Son and His lovingkindness.
I sought the Lord and I found Him;
He has healed my iniquity.
When I set my mind on things below,
My sin resurrects and I see my fault.
When my eyes are set on You, Jesus,
My sin is no more, for You forgive my sins.
I love the Lord, what more can I say?
How can one not love the Lord?
My desires are lust, but Your will is pure;
I am a sinner, but You graft me in contrary to nature.
You supernaturally change me;
In You there is no sin, so I dwell in You.
Cleanse me by Your Word that I may be clean;
Wash me with the pure water of Your Word;
It takes upon my curse to make me clean.
Surely I deserve death, but Your Son died for me;
I consider myself dead to sin, and joined to You;
My life is not my own, for You bought me with a redemption price.
You tasted death for me that I would not die;
When I sleep, I know You will be there;
How can one not love the Lord?
For my God is for me.
The third heaven is unutterable and You have made them;
That which is heard cannot be repeated and You have spoken it.
How much less can man utter You?
Your works are innumerable,
And You do the works
Which man can tell of You?
The only One who has seen Him can tell of Him;
He resembles Him fully and the name is in Him;
So man can see Him and yet live to tell of Him;
And he is given understanding.
Your name is too wonderful to comprehend.
Living are You and nothing escapes Your notice.
You watch with a watchfulness — unescaping;
Your eyes are flames of fire.
You see the works of man, that they are nothing;
They are burned up at the appearance of You;
Your foot will step on earth and nothing will stand;
The heavens will hide its face, and the earth will melt with heat.
Teach me how to pray oh Lord;
I pray that You teach me to pray.
Make in me a heart of desire,
That I would not grow faint in it.
Let my prayer be done in faith
With my tongue moving and my heart speaking
In secret and not before men lest my reward be poured out.
Let my speech not be in vain before the King
With words that are few and my petitions known throughout
Let me be watchful in it, guarding the heart as treasure.
Keep me from sin for the sake of my prayers;
For the sake of my loved ones that I pray for.
Oh, that the Son of God would find faith on earth when He comes!
Oh, that He would see His servants waiting for Him, watching!
Blessed are they that He finds ready at His coming!
He will gird Himself and wait on them!
The earth rotates on its axis,
And it is one day;
The moon revolves around the earth,
And it is a month;
The earth around the sun,
And it is a year.
And the LORD God hallowed the seventh day.
The earth faces the sun and it is day;
The earth faces away, and the night comes.
While the earth's face is toward the sun;
It sees the light and rejoices in the light;
If it turns its back to the sun,
It has no light and cannot see a thing.
Listen to the luminaries because they speak;
They have no mouth and do not utter a word.
But they speak louder than the boasts of men.
What goes around but does not come around?
Who sows an apple seed and gets an orange tree?
Does a donkey give birth to a snake? Or a fish to a seal?
What is best for man to do in his short life?
Then to fear the LORD and face Him all his days.
LORD God your grace gives me strength to do;
The fear and dread of you keeps me from sin.
I hate every false way;
I hate the perverse way.
Before I was an alien to you,
Now I have been brought near to you;
A heir of the promises which you given to your chosen people;
Too marvelous for me to understand your Way;
Your name is too wonderful for me to understand.
Keep my back towards sin and my face towards You.
There is no good in me.
When I face you, I become a light.
Does not the earth only see light while it faces the sun?
Let us all turn to you God and walk in the Light;
For the wise have eyes in their head;
For they have seen and understood Your Word.
Repent! Repent while the light is still here!
A day of deep darkness is coming,
A darkness in which it will be felt;
The sun will not give it’s light;
The moon will turn blood red.
Turn in!
A plate is put before you:
The meat is fashioned, cooked perfectly;
Drizzled with glaze to its side;
The burnt pieces put off;
It looks like a cake decorated for a wedding.
Greens to the side, not touching the meat,
In it’s own compartment, layered on top of another;
Freshly green, the brown pieces are thrown away;
Potatoes are fried perfectly,
Fashioned together with vegetables;
Put on display like a king entering the city.
How can you say, “God doesn’t love me”?
You can tell by how food is made that it was made with love:
If food is fashion in such a way to be eaten and mixed with bile and destroyed,
How much more are you loved being put together by the Most High?
On your mother’s bed you were conceived;
You did not ask for life neither did you earn it;
Your father did not work, it was for love;
Your mother did not labor, but still you grew.
It was your Father God who knit you together:
He fashioned you with ligaments and muscles and bones.
He clothed you with hair;
Jewels set in place as vents for life;
Servants to take you places;
And servants to interact;
How beautifully and wonderfully you were made!
The One with unfailing love who loves you to death:
The King of kings and Lord of lords:
The Creator of your body, soul, and spirit.
Oh, the people gamble!
Yes, they gamble with their own lives!
They play lifeless machines to get their blood flowing,
By testing the living God, they gamble with their own life!
Who knows Him whose Word can stop a human heart?
Give back to the Lord what He has given you.
Stop treating yourself with contempt by sinning.
Does not a living being love himself and take care of himself?
When he is hungry, he feeds his gut;
When he is thirsty, he gets a drink for his tongue;
When he is tired, he rests for his body;
But you hate yourself by sinning, destroying your own flesh.
Do men think the Lord doesn’t see?
His angels watch and report to Him;
His eyes aren’t ceasing from His high position;
The Almighty desires obedience;
He desires for humanity to know Him and His Way.
The time for celebration comes at the fullness of time;
You do nothing, but the time passes;
At the fullness of time a celebration comes and you prepare:
I tell you, today is the day of the party;
Right now is the time for celebration;
Here is the fullness of time!
The time of God’s favor is here;
His unfailing love revealed to the whole earth;
The birds sing and rejoice because of Him.
All creatures know and they long for Him to be revealed.
When full with wine you say, “This year will be different.
I will do all the things I’ve always wanted to do.”
You do good for a month, even two, and three — you’re disciplined!
But what has happened? You have stopped your good intentions.
You intend to do good with your mind, but your body is weak.
You cannot carry out your good intentions.
Look! The Spirit is given and poured out into your cup;
The vessel of clay which you possess;
He will give you power and strength;
You will do everything you said you will do;
Your good intentions will be good actions;
Fruit will fall from you and nations will be fed;
What is not eaten will grow into a cedar;
Everything from you will be useful, from the dead branches to the leaves.
In darkness, there is hope for light;
The night breaks and the dawn comes;
So let the Lord's face shine upon you as long as it is called 'Today';
For the day will come in which there is no light;
When you see His face, you will want to be hidden;
Crying to the rocks to destroy so that you would not be able to look.
In that day the false ones will be terrified to speak His name;
While it is still called 'Today' seek His face;
Do not turn your face until you see His face;
Know His light and walk in the light while it is still day.
The Lord is great!
He dwells above the clouds;
No one is higher than He;
He listens to the prayers of His servants, desiring to respond;
He makes Himself known in ways our minds can understand,
Although His mind is far greater than ours:
Who can comprehend Him?
He knows exactly our ways:
What exactly will get us to budge;
He does not terrify us with His booming voice,
Nor does He terrify by exposing all our sin at once:
Little by little, a little here and a little there.
Spare us from the destruction of your dreadful Sword, Oh Lord.
Grant us repentance which leads to life!
Keep us in step with your Spirit;
Look out for us when we are loaded down by fear;
Watch out for our feet;
Make us straight paths so we do not stumble;
Help us throw off all sin that hinders our race;
Lord, graceful and merciful God,
You show no partiality to us, your children.
Everything you do is marvelous;
Let Your righteous deeds come forth from our lips!
How often do we say, love?
How often do we do, love?
Our hearts are callous.
Our brothers and sisters are dying.
Their lives dried up before us.
While our eyes wet with tears.
Who is really righteous?
Who really hears the voice of God?
They say, “Here he is!
He can heal him by His mighty Name.”
How little our faith;
It’s smaller than a mustard seed.
The problem is not with God,
The problem is with me;
I am all too human.
I still have hope for faith,
That one day I will have faith,
One that is not dead;
For I know the Spirit inside me
He is great and mighty,
Changing my evil and corrupt heart.
If only I listen to Him!
How God has made it so easy!
Yet I still stumble like a rock.
I see my dead faith in his dead body.
Lord God help me bring my faith to life!
Make my faith crawl with living life!
Open up the grave and bring him back;
In my heart, it is done;
In my actions, he is rotten.
Oh God, do you have to take life
For me to truly understand?
Spare them Oh Lord, I am hard headed;
I still don’t understand!
I am a fool wandering in a wasteland.
I am dried up to the point of death
With living water in my knapsack.
I keep walking, searching for a spring;
I walk for years searching
To find I am not thirsty at all.
There is a living spring inside me.
God sustains me yet I don’t know it;
His power is in me yet I don’t show it.
Lord, you have shown me,
The sin of others, the sin of the world;
You expose the sin of myself.
Everything lay bare and naked before you.
What can I hide? What can I keep for myself?
Isn’t everything yours?
I only borrow.
What am I to do with my life?
I repent of my sins.
God visited the earth;
No one recognized Him;
Not even His own people;
Even the one who prepared the way for His coming,
Yes, even he did not recognize Him.
The very ones who were searching for Him
Did not see Him;
But the ones who weren't seeking for Him
Did see Him.
And those who see Him
Haven't physically seen Him,
Yet they still love Him.
He is the One who everyone knows,
But only few know.
His name is too wonderful to understand.
I’m burdened by the evil around me;
Everywhere I look there is evil.
Does anyone do good? Will they even try it?
I’m not encouraged so who will encourage me?
I will overcome evil by doing good.
The Lord is my comfort, my God is my Rock.
In Him I have peace, in Him there is happiness.
Around me is evil, so close;
I don’t even know the danger.
But look! Are they not around me as well?
How close is salvation!
How close I am to opening my mouth!
I can do nothing on my own, but my God will speak;
When He does they will change.
They will know Him.
These evil days torment me;
These evil times I am detested by.
The end looms over me like a cloud;
Every-time I recite my years is a testimony:
I am not forever.
Does God have an age?
The Ancient One, The Head of Days.
Can His days be counted?
Sleep is far from Him
In His rest we have rest.
My life is a shadow.
What casts this shadow? Where is the real thing?
My life is a tent.
How long must I be in agony? This tent be taken down?
I don’t fear death;
Jesus has the keys to death.
And If I die, I will live;
But If I live, I will die.
I die to myself to save my life;
This is love for my life: to hate my life.
My own will is corrupt and ends in nothing;
My life is only a dead end.
I put it to death by the life of Christ
To save it from the second death.
But I know the Way;
The Way is not dead but Living.
One that does not end,
Its paths are everlasting.
Death brings forth life! Who can say it?
I died from that which was supposed to make me alive!
Glory be unto the Lamb of God:
Who was, is, and is yet to come.
Everywhere I look: a clock.
It ticks and with every tick I hear, “Hurry.”
Don’t show yourself to me.
Photos of the past: Why do you condemn me?
You say, “Look! Time is passing you by!
Wasn’t that just yesterday?”
You evil one, why do you comfort me?
You say, “You’ll have tomorrow
So feast and eat and party!”
Isn’t it God who gives all things?
Isn’t it God who only loves?
He uses these to show us:
Our lives are but a shadow.
He uses these to tell us:
“Today is the day to get right.”
Slow down!
Trust Him and He will give you peace.
You hurry, but where are you running?
Are you men eager for the grave?
He says, “Be still and know that I am God.”
I desire a new life for my old life is dead.
Where am I?
In circles I continually go,
In the wilderness I am in.
Where is the path? Where is the way?
Shall I go back to my old life?
The one I know all too well:
Futility be my best friend again.
Meaninglessness will you take me back?
Before I was born, I was dead.
My mother conceived me;
I breathed my first breath.
Right now, I am dead.
Who will conceived me?
Where is my new breath?
I am a wretched stench.
Who will bury me?
Baptize me into Your death, Jesus.
Make me born of You and give me Your breath of Spirit.
Give me a love of Your will, Oh God.
I am in my body, but I am asleep;
I am living yet I am dead.
When do those who are tired sleep?
At night time, but I desire day.
I am like a zombie, looking for life:
I desire flesh to eat, but I find only bones.
There is no life anywhere;
There is only darkness everywhere.
Look! There is a Light:
It’s One that looks like the Son of Man.
He offers His Flesh to eat;
He offers His Blood to drink.
This is True food,
And this is True drink.
Jesus is the Life.
Yes, He is the Light.
I am awake now as a child of the Light;
I can see now that Jesus is the Way.
