The Lion and the Lamb

Abraham gave his one and only son, Isaac, as a sacrifice; and Jacob gave up his one and only son Benjamin, from his beloved Rachel, to go to Egypt. Isaac was redeemed with a ram caught in the thicket; and Benjamin was redeemed by his brother Judah, from which the Lion is to come. These two represent Jesus Christ, who God gave up for the sins of the world, because of His great love for us, gave up His beloved Son. Abraham gained back his son Isaac, and Jacob gained back his son Benjamin - not to mention he received Joseph back from the dead! And Jesus, God raised Him from the dead; He is the lion from the tribe of Judah and the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
