Spiritual Worship

The law gives power to pride and sin - it empowers sin within us; through the law comes a false sense of worship, as if our worship is by works of the law! But through the Spirit, we can worship the Father as He intended: in spirit and truth. We give our bodies as living sacrifice which is our spiritual worship; this is not on a set day, but everyday, offering ourselves as a living sacrifice to God. Then we can attribute proper worth to God who makes the temple holy, rather than worshipping the temple itself. The law honors the temple more than God who sanctifies the temple; everything about the law is physical, but the Spirit reigns over the flesh. The Spirit of God makes a house a temple, so our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit.
