The Re Prefix

The prefix 'Re' means going back; this would mean going back to the truth and constantly remembering it. We are forgetful, that is why we are reproved or rebuked. REmembering is to REcall the things that have happened previously. The signs, the feasts, the festivals, the sabbaths, the bow in the sky, circumcision, the trumpet blasts - all these were given as REminders. "REmember from where you have fallen and REpent and do the deeds you did at first." (Revelation 2:5) Discipline is the way to life; a fool doesn't listen to wise concil, but the wise fear and take heed. A fool goes on his way and pays no attention to the Word; his ignorance is blissful for only a short time; and when it is too late, there will be no going back.
